I
have an online store, however if my customer wants to come by and do
a local pick up, will that be ok?
Yes, local pick up service is free as long as you notify us
within 1 hour of the actual pickup. This is only for tenants who
also sell their goods online or any other way. We will provide
free pick-up and also will collect payment on your behalf if needed.
Am I allowed to share a space with another vendor?
Sorry, no. 2 vendors/designers are not allowed sharing a single space;
however we do off a vendor recommendation discount.
What
is the "vendor recommendation discount"?
The Vendor Recommendation Discount only applies after a minimum of 4
months paid rent has first been fulfilled. What it is is
that If you refer a designer/vendor to sign up with Periwinkle, you
will get 5% off your next contract with Periwinkle. Not only will you
get the discount, your referral will too get the 5% Discount after a
minimum of 4 months paid rent has first been fulfilled. So remember
to tell them that you sent them here.
Am
I allowed to rent more then one space at a time?
Yes, you are allowed to rent as much space you need for your products!
That’s the beauty of periwinkle. We will not force you to rent
a whole shelf or section. Rent the base space and just add on what ever
you need! Plus discount will apply for multiple space rentals!!!
As
a vendor, what are my duties?
INVENTORY & TAGGING: Before setting up your items in the store,
you are required to make a inventory list, a list of items that you
will be selling in the store. Every item must have a price tag with
a code that corresponds to your list. Therefore, the code on the tag
must match the code in your inventory list. It is sole responsibility
of the tenants to price the goods.
DECORATING: You are allowed to decorate your own space! However please
keep in mind the ambiance of the store and should be tasteful. If you
need help in the décor area, please do not hesitate to contact
us and we will provide you with some ideas. Please read the terms
and condition & our handbook, on what you are allowed and not allowed
to do to your space.
Am
I allowed to leave my info/business cards?
Yes, I strongly suggest you should leave a pile of business cards. We
are here to promote you and what better way then having your business
card out & about! Also I strongly advise you to write a little bio
of yourself/company and take advantage of our free online advertisement
on our website.
Will
your store have any specials or store sales?
Sales are always welcomed. Think of sales as a means to help push out
old items. Periwinkle will have 2 sales in a year because some vendors
will not be on the same page. However, Periwinkle will email/contact
you if you would like to participate in sales events, and you will have
the option to say yes or no. Nevertheless, you are welcomed to create
your own sale, just email us what days, how long you want the sale for
and how much!
Am
I allowed to sign on for the first 4 months (Jan to Apr) but want a
pause and resign for June and reinstate my contract?
No you are not allowed to reinstate your contract. Once the contract
is up to terms (once your first 4 month is up) you will have 2 options.
One, is to extend your rental contract via monthly. Or option two that
you would like to discontinue/terminate our services. It is a mandatory
4 month term sign up anytime, a vendor/tenant wants to sign/resign with
us, even if you are a recurring tenants/vendor, it is mandatory. The
tenant/vendors are allowed to give a minimum of one month’s notice
of contract cancellation but only after a minimum of 3 months paid rent
has first been fulfilled. Therefore by the beginning of the 4th month,
we will issue a email and asking what you would like to do.
Are
there any other hidden fees I should know about?
The only fees you pay is: the rent and the 10% sales commission on items
that are sold. This 10% will cover staff, packaging, marketing and bank
fees
Do
you have another location?
At the moment no, however down the lines we will consider if opportunities
arise. We will do shows and events in the near future and will
keep you posted.
Do
you do local delivery? Shipping?
No, we do not do local delivery or shipping. We are a store front where
your customers could come down and view your products. However we provide
free pickups.
What
is your return policy?
It depends on the vendor/designer what their return policy is. At periwinkle,
we do not offer refunds, but exchange of the same goods. Most of the
time a discount will be negotiated, if an item is damaged. It all depends
on the vendor/designer.
How
often should I come and check on my product?
We strongly advise you to keep a copy of your inventory list you submitted
at the time of signing. Every month we will issue a sales record to
give you an idea about how many items were sold and if you will need
to come in to restock. However, we will keep an close eye on your products
and will contact you if you need to restock.
Do
you take my (vendor/designers) client calls or help us call/notify them
if we have new product/sales events?
No, we are a boutique and not a call center. We only provide you a store
front where you could let your client know where to find your product.
However we will be glad to advertise any promo/sales on our website
for you.
Am
I allowed to use periwinkle as a event space/meeting/class workshop?
No, periwinkle is a boutique where customers come in browse and shop.
You are welcome to bring friends, family and clients in to show them
your product, but you are not allowed to congregate or have meetings
at periwinkle.
Am
I allowed to use periwinkle’s mailing address as my own address?
No.
What
discounts do or will Periwinkle provide to vendors/designers?
We have a few specials/discount running at the moment.
1. If you sign up with us for a year
term, you get either;
2a) one month (the 13th month) free rent (excluding prime
locations)
2b) A prime location for regular price for one month (the
13th month)*
First come first server bases, while spaces last.
